something we must go through!

and don\'t mean to be a pain in the ass, but could someone give us a Last Time Played for Future Peek, Surreal Radio and Good Things?

I could be wrong, but the LTP for Future Peek is I think 10/26/07, when they played Moxie Epoxy straight through. Last Surreal Radio I believe was 10/30/08. The last time I saw them play Good Things was 8/15/08, also at Daniel St. I\'m pretty sure they played it sometime after that one and before Friday, maybe not though?

Positively outstanding show. I feel blessed to be able to be there and sad that this is the end...for now.

The line to get in took a long time so we missed Eppy 1. DMB was excellent and as the jam unfolded I remember thinking that we were in for a smoker of a show. Future Peek was a total mindfuck!!!! It sounded perfect to my ears but that could also just be from the jubilation I was feeling from hearing a tune I thought I\'d never hear live. I can\'t wait to listen to this one again. HB was sick as well.

Mooboo\'s to start set 2 was a real treat, but Eppy 3 takes the prize in my view. So, so good. Gravity was totally entrancing as only the Breakfast can do. Never heard a bad version of this and I don\'t think its possible

Good Things has to be my highlight as well. And that is big considering all of the ser shit that these guys played up until this point. Just perfect. The show could\'ve ended right there and I would\'ve stood there for some time just dumbfounded.

Much love in that room friday night. Zuke, nice to meet you and thanks for the beer.

Thank you guys for being the best band I have ever heard. You constantly amaze and I never feel like I didn\'t get my money\'s worth. There is a gaping hole in the musical landscape that can only be filled by the sweet sounds of the Breakfast.

I hope that we get to hear the audio of this one again, and again. Oh, and again. It was that good.

I thought Ep 1 was a perfect way to start, I\'m not ashamed to admit that I got a little choked up on and off for pretty much the whole song. These guys have been a part of my life for so long I just couldn\'t help it. I can\'t think of what my life would be like without them. I got to know Jen the second time I saw them in Feb. of 2000 and have been with her ever since. There are also a ton of people that I feel like I\'ve shared my soul with over the years that I don\'t think I\'d be the same had I not met them. But anyway...

Drunk Monk was definitely a good one that built up perfectly into a really wild Gladys. Reel Time was awesome as usual. I was sooo happy to see Future Peek and was it ever great. Mooboo\'s was spectacular! I\'ve wanted to see Surreal Radio for so long! It was totally worth the wait. I could usually take or leave Gravity, but this one was one of the best I\'ve heard, I don\'t really understand why it didn\'t go into See the Light, kinda wanted to see it, but whatever. Metropolis was a fuckin\' beast, what an insane ending!

Ep 3 was pretty standard. But that\'s just me. It was good, don\'t get me wrong but I\'ve never really been blown away by it before, I don\'t even have it in my top ten. I will say that the jam in Existential Funk was absolutely fuckin \'amazing! So was the jam in Buquebus, which should\'ve been the encore in my opinion. All the energy in the place and emotioins going through all our heads came out in the loudest most heartfelt, if that\'s possible "Hey! Hey! Hey\'s!" I\'ve ever been a part of. Good Things was like a kick in the stomach, it was so good, Tim\'s solo\'s were pretty unbelievable at times I must say, l think he did a pretty good job of capturing everyone\'s feelings. The show could\'ve ended right there as far as I was concerned.

Overall the show was good. I liked the theme of a Episode starting each set. I would like to know where Puppetry, Sundance, WUIAC, Grand Scheme, Tunage, TLATG, Overexposure, Attraction, Garcian, Frankly and many others were, but they\'d probably have needed one more set.

I had a great time seeing everyone, enjoyed eating a D, didn\'t shed a tear like I thought I would, and had a really great time that I won\'t soon forget and I sincerely hope that since they\'re taking at least a year to refocus or whatever that they bring ALL their Kung Fu fans back with them when they come back so that a crowd the size of the Daniel St. one will be considered a small one. I wish for nothing but the best for Tim, Dangles, Jordan and Adrian during this silly little hiatus. ;)

See ya!!!

shit man, I was in my own world during the show. I was so focused on the music that I couldn\'t even make it across the room to check out the merch table. The boys will play again, and we will meet up.

WOW,  So happy I made the long drive to be at this show, it was a very special piece of art from front to back.  Probably some of the best fans in the land (big thanks to the dude dressed in the best dog costume EVER for giving my lady friend and I a hug).  Never had actually seen Tony Larussa in reel time so it was a reel treat.  What a band, I\'ve been writing this chamber piece for the past three months and Breakfast melodies keep creeping into the sketches, hard to get it out of the head once it\'s in there.  Most inspiring music I\'ve ever been witness to,  thank you Breakfast, hopefully hear you in the future.

I\'m listening to this now...  Not bad, but there\'s some big songs missing...  A really short 3 set show; just a little over 3 hours...

I\'m pretty pissed they didn\'t spend an entire set covering The Doors.

Look, my opinion is what it is...  I don\'t need to contribute to have an opinion, but if you\'re asking if I\'ve been to a show in the past 5 years, the answer is yes, I was at both Donegal Saloon shows in \'08...  TB hasn\'t played NJ and when they did, it was a Wednesday/Thursday night...

My point was that if this was the last show before an indefinite hiatus, then the just over 3 hour show over 3 sets seems a little short...  In comparison, the first FF, 13 years ago, was also a 3 set show and ran a little over 4 hours...   Don\'t tell me that was then and this is now because these guys are all still in their 30\'s and have the energy to give it all...  As to my other point, if you knocked some of the songs down from 16-18 minutes to 10 minutes, you could have added 2-3 more songs in the same time slot...

Even if my opinion doesn\'t mesh with yours, mine is still valid...

your points are just assanine really.  2011 Breakfast doesn\'t play shorter songs so they can fill out the set more.  they could\'ve played longer if they took like 5 minute setbreaks, but given the circumstances, if you think those 30 somethings onstage didn\'t bust their asses off to give us a best possible send off show, you\'re out of your fuckin\' mind.

Not saying they didn\'t play hard...  My point is that when you play 2-1/2 hour 2 set shows, a 3 set show might be a little longer...  I can also prefer to hear WUIAC, The Chase, FBCC and QMATM, which would have all fit in the time they took to play Gravity...  Listening, it doesn\'t feel like a send off show...

On a positive note, I\'m glad that they didn\'t waste any of the 3 hours on covers...

And there was a Star Wars tease at the beginning of Reel Time and an Enchida\'s Arf tease in the Metropolis jam...

Just saying...

I\'ve seen enough the Chases.  and I assure you, I know you think TPalms\' songwriting went downhill after real radio, but there were many of us thankful for Good Things, Future Peek and Surreal Radio.  diff\'rent strokes.

That Gravity was way better than all those songs would have been combined.

As for playing their songs shorter.... you should listen to the 3rd Stellas residency show... AWESOME versions of Hard Luck Harry and Mayfly both under or around 15 minutes

You can\'t have it "your way" every single time. What\'s nice about the band is that it\'s different every time, even if a lot of songs are shelved this year. And most of the fans appreciate that.

I completely understand that I can\'t have it my way and I\'ve been tagged the resident A!!hole on the site, but my point is that for a send-off show, it surely didn\'t feel like one...  To me, a send-off show is what The Band did with The Last Waltz; which is most resembled in the Stolen Equipment Benefit Show back in \'01...

I don\'t necessarily mind the 15 minute songs if they\'re spread out...

Also, I don\'t think fans appreciate the fact that songs are shelved, I do, however, belive that they accept it...   My point about songs left off, look at the heavy hitter originals that were left off the list:

Beef Barley, The Chase, EE 1&2, Frankly Po Zest, Garcian, TGSOT, Hard Luck Harry, TLATG > OE, Puppetry, Question Mark & The Mind, Rufus, See The Light, Taboo, Tribal Funk Affliction, WUIAC, ect...

I may be a debbie downer, but these are a talented bunch of musicians that I hate to see fade away...  If they are going to call it quits for now, then go all out for the send-off... That\'s all...

I think they captured the sentiment well enough w/o having to play their entire catalogue pre-2004.  although a FBCC to cap it off would\'ve been gravy.

The way I look at it the Stella Blues residency was pretty much part of their "send-off" and between all those shows they played a lot of material and played it as well as I\'ve ever seen them play especially four weeks in a row and especially weeks 2, 3, a 4 which were some of the best shows I can remember.

Knowing they were about to hiatus, they threw those Stellas Monday shows basically as a gift to the serious fans who would make it down there on a Monday... and everyone else could hear the recordings.

So I really don\'t care what they played for Daniel Street. I\'m just glad they played Drunk Monk Bar and Episode 1 (Happy) which were the 2 songs I was lobbying for anyway :D ... and also glad they fit these songs in before I had to leave the venue :/

Besides, Tim has hinted that this hiatus (note: hiatus, not the end of the band) might not be a long as we fear. If good things just need a little rest to get ready for the next 13 years... which we will see how true this ends up to be, then I guess I\'m all for it. Ok not ALL for it but I can accept it even though I doubt the entire band wanted to go on hiatus.. it is what it is.

So it\'s really just another halloween show with a bit of sentimentality mixed in. Was it their best show ever? Obviously not. Was it a damn good show? Most definitely.

I don\'t care if you complain about every little thing it\'s a free forum. I\'m not the only one here who doesn\'t mind arguing/debating these things with you so it\'s all good.

And I think we have bigger assholes around here than you so don\'t try and claim that title for yourself!

I\'m a big time fan of old school songs, but I gotta say some of the big highlights for me were Future Peek, Existential Funk and Surreal Radio. Matter of fact, Surreal Radio has been totally stuck in my head.
