D5 sandwich. Is this a first? I can\'t remember it being broken up b4.
Intension is a good song. I can hear it pretty much every night right now.

Yep! After some investigation it is the 1st D5 sandwich. Cool!

I was so hoping to read that the place was packed! Very bummed. I know the guys are still bringing it but really that place should have been full if not sold out.

I got a few conflicting/confusing texts from Dave.

Confirmed is that they played Food For Thought, and Late > Over in some order or another.

As an aside, my roommates think that I\'m a big loser for staying awake to do this.  Reaffirm my convictions by posting if you are following this.

I know I know I should not be bitching  but I hope they @ least got 100 people. 70 was the low estimate for the past Thurs. in Tempe and the Thurs. before that in Nevada 130 or so were in attendence. So a Thurs. at HOME should be at least the average of those huh?

What hell has been going on here?  Last night was my first real (3-1 @ BAR was a joke) Breakfast show in over a year.  Last I knew they were a good local jam band...  During the opener I felt like I was seeing Pink Floyd in their prime.
The Late and The Great is just superior song writing, the type of song that brings in the "crossover fans".

That is a great figure considering the ONLY PROMOTION for this show was done by .infoers. There was no grassroots. Thank You all for your help in that.

I do believe SUMMER will be the season for the Breakfast at Daniel Street. It has that kind of feeling in it.

i will say this - as someone who actually had bad gas last night (which is weird, cause i didn\'t even think i knew how to fart), it definitely wasn\'t me... BUT, i did use that stench that filled the room as a good chance to release some of my own and go unnoticed. :fart:

I am kinda confused on the ending of TGSOT to begin the show and I certainly did not want it to go into Fresh Cut.

Hard Luck Harry was great. Ellis hit the lights perfectly with the music. Excellent lighting. The D5 sandwich threw me off completely, it was nice to see it done that way, but still jam it out. Surreal Radio, did anyone else notice how this song got the crowd pumping their fists? Love Lake=Smoke Break. Intension is an awesome tune, can\'t wait to see how this song develops.

Ahhh, May Fly, mmmm, the only song I wanted to hear, thought I wasn\'t going to hear, walking in from set break, I heard it. This song is quickly gaining distance on the Buquebus I love. The Psygn is solid, this song can definitely go much farther and incredible places. The Late and The Great > Ove Exposure blew me out of the fucking venue. The ending to Over Exposure was incredible. Is that song always jammed out like that? Insane. This was also the time when I started begging for the end of May Fly to close the show.

Memory For A Free Festival was a cool way to end the show but the May Fly sent the crowd out rowdy, just the way it should be.

Glad to see so many comments about the new tunes  The Late and the Great> Overexposure!   I saw this in Colorado and was completely blow away, tunes that will be timeless, and they are so new.  May the Breakfast live on for so many years to come that people will one day drool in awe of those lucky few who saw such tunes come into their own.  All you back east = ENJOY!!!

i had completely forgotten about the ending of mayfly and creamed my pants when they went back into it. i\'m glad that i finally got hear intension, late and great>overexposure, and the entire surreal radio (i missed the first half at BAR) that i had been seeing in all the west coast setlists (not to mention the weak love lake ending).  the afore mentioned mayfly, along w/ dimension 5, hardluck harry and a rocking honey butter made the show pretty much exactly what i wanted to see (although the garcian/buquebus \'wich from last nite would\'ve been nice to see)
the 2 newbies i brought were converted, but slightly scared away by the rancid farts (i smell dead people..)

What a homecoming in my opinion......Schemer ending to open the show????  I just about crapped myself (which had nothing to do with the horrendous stank in the venue at the end of the 1st set)......

As for the Fresh Cut....That song holds a special place in my heart....For one, it was the first new breakfast tune in years......secondly it is a pretty great tune, and to anyone who has gotten a "fresh" haircut and felt that they had "new points of view" knows what I am talking about.......just a nice little tune.  Its not necessarilly gonna melt your face, but it may open your eyes.....Plus the 12/30/05 Philly Fresh Cut rules.....

I thought the setlist and entire night was amazing and I am so happy to be a part of this thing we call The Breakfast......

Anywho it was great to see so many friends that I have missed over the past month and it was wonderful to meet some new people....

To the guy who was handing out the fungi treats....Thanks.....Nothing like eating a fistful at the end of the show and tripping way into latenight....And From what I hear BillyChags (SlimPickins) was spoted solo wandering around Booth Hill Park with a backpack of beers till the wee wee hours......and he thanks you as well.......

Till the next time.....Timmy Tour per usual on Mon & Wed or BURLINGTON.....
See you on the other side....
Gencs

This was like the scene out of Fear and Loathing. I followed Slimpickens into the bathroom and I swear I was only a few second later and there he is with some Fungi in hand dude munching on fungi with like 3 other people. I felt extremely uncomfortable but it seemed to work out for everyone.

i was a little jealous, being the D.D. (drunken driver) for 2 spunions, although they made my drive home quite interesting (considering that i don\'t remember anything until Norwich)

I\'m going to sit down and right an indepth analysis of Intension, Honeybutter, and Late>Overexposure. There were so many various improvisational techniques at play that i couldn\'t  focus on one instrument, except for Ron during Honeybutter. In fact, the new songs were so amazing that they offset my VT Song depression!!!!
