Is anyone interested in an organized trip to Burlington?
I have been talking to a few places that specialize in chartered buses and trips of sort. If I can get a reasonable price for the ride, hotel and tickets to the show, I will be more than willing to finalize this trip.
I would think that the bus would leave New Haven on 4/20 sometime in the afternoon, get to the hotel and then to the show. Will be returning to CT on 4/22.
This is prelimenary and I will keep you in the loop as I learn more about it. I just think we will need to get at least 40 heads to do it. I am sure it will be worth it and it will definitely make the band feel good and let the other fans know that this fanbase is SER.
Stay tuned!

i havent missed a breakfast bustrip, and dont intend to...
a few years back,i actually went to new york for a strangers game, zipped all the way home after the game to make the bus in staven....
-
that sounds cool. if its a good price i\'d really consider it.
im going to be spending a lot of time in burlington in april what with the biscuits playing three nights just a few days before these shows...nothing wrong with that. by the time the b-fast comes around i will have probably outstayed my welcome with the kids i know up there so i\'d definitaly be down with going in on a cheap hotel.
-
I\'m definitely interested.
I might have a couple friends who would want to hit up the 4-20 run too. I wouldn\'t want to take seats away from .info\'ers, but if it\'s a matter of getting enough people to fill the bus I would definitely ask them.

This could be the start of something out of control. But this is the reason for doing something like this...

how much would this run?

still trying to figure it all out, I will let you know.

I\'m down if the bus will stop and pick me up where 91 intersects 89. (I\'m assuming you guys would go 91 > 89)
Somehow I doubt that would work out... although it\'s right on the way... :P

I was thinking about an option like that. Maybe making a bustop somewhere in route to Vermont. Still gotta see what the bus advisor tells me on Monday when I call.

GREAT idea!

bus stop in NH:thumbsup::spin:on to btown for 4:20 madness:stoned:
-
A Boston pick up will be sweet, and I think guarantee more heads to fill this bus up
-
It would have to be a stop on the way to Burlington. Possibly somewhere in Western/Central Mass or the Mass/Vermont border.
Again, I will be calling tomorrow to get a better idea of the situation as a whole.
-
^^^ How about... say.... where 89 intersects 91. :D
-
If it stops in NH I will definatly hop on the buss. If not...NH heads are welcome to meet me and carpool up there. :)
-
White River Junction...... Oh the memories of that 5+ hour drive.
-
That would be great if it stopped in western Mass or around the VT border,.. I\'m in Northampton. I got 1 other head tentatively signed up already, and I\'m sure I could grab a few more if it stopped in western mass.

i\'m on the fence about all this, but 4/21 is my 21st bday and this would be a wicked cool way to spend it....btw i\'m in amherst so a western mass stop would be great for me!

^^
What was the question again? ;)
Breakfast 420 run in Burlington.. what better way to turn 21?
-
Spacey, I may have overlooked it while reading (finally a busy day at work, a little rushed with reading the threads), but is this just bus trip, or are you trying to get a block of hotel rooms too?
-
jammys on 4/20 announced today..... dont know if this means anythign to anyone but me, but .... yeah
-
those guys over at jambands are uber-hetty, sans Jarnow that is...

I am looking to make it a package deal. Bus, hotel and tickets to the show.
-
I really want to do this trip... I also really need an estimate so I can save up. Would there be anyway to pay just for the bus and tix?

One of the agents is suppose to get to me tomorrow with a price. I\'m sure that I can work something out for the bus and tickets. The tickets aren\'t that much either. I believe Club Metronome is free for 21+ and Nectar\'s is $3. So the real bulk of it all is the transportation.
-
I would just like a chance to get to know everyone better, and a bus ride sure sounds like a grand fucking time. Plus the VT/CT drive is hell.
-
aww it\'s not that bad... it\'s a straight shot at least. Better than my Rte 3>290>90>84>91>95 to get to the New Haven area... or alt route: 13>2>190>290>90>84>91>95....
But I suppose you probably are sick of the drive to VT having gone to school there...
-
def all about this!! count me! in

or the 3>2>190>290>395>95 to pick my lazy ass up
i\'m definitely in if this is a go, depending on the non new haven area pick up/drop off points. otherwise I\'m just gonna pack my car full of RI/Southeast Mass peoples, and anyone else on the way who can fit. Can those of us who have to drive still get in on the hotel discount?
-
Joc those segues keep you awake, the straight shot is zzzzzzzzz\'s central. I cant tell you how much arm hair I\'ve pulled out the past 5 years.
-
yeah I suppose.
Ant that route wasn\'t so bad! :)
-
That is a great idea, I am all for the bus stopping at white river junction where 91/89 intersect. Seeing that I would have to drive right by there! Still it depends on how much money?
-
sounds like fun...
-
get on the bus.....
-
this would be an amazing time. i look forward to hearing how the details come together. i could definitely be down.
-
will this be a "magic" bus??? ;)
-
will this be a "magic" bus??? ;)
I\'d have to say that will be a big YES
-
would love to do this. that being said, i would also like to do the jammy;s and afterparty considering the rumor for the after party at BBkings is Brotehrs Past.
i hope to god that the Breakfast are a part of the green apple music and arts festival after the VT shows though.
-
brothers past < RAQ
-
:awwyeah: I\'d definitely be in on this trip -
especially since it\'s the start of my "spring break" week vacation!!!!
:stoned::jumpy::stoned:
-
spacey - any new info on cost, etc?
-
brothers past < RAQ
couldn\'t disagree any more.
-
spacey - any new info on cost, etc?
yes
I got quotes from a few different places but all the info is at home and I am still at el trabajo until 9pm. When I get home I will disclose the prices.

I am waiting for BusBank to get back to me. Who seem to have the most competitive deal going so far. Right now, mainly because the trip is overnight the price is rather high because you may have additional costs like driver\'s gratuity (10-15%), tolls, parking and driver\'s hotel accommodations.
-
Who\'s Slaker?
-
now there\'s an additional show on the 23rd that\'s gotta complicate things
-

it sure does.
kinda makes things a little tighter.
-
toss the bus idea out, and shoot for a block of 8-10 rooms at a discounted rate ;)

i\'m definitely down for this + caravan of breakfast retards.

hope spacey\'s not planning on a 4/20-4/22 VT bus trip anyways, or that group is fucked...

I don\'t know exactly what this means, but he is right, the group would be fucked.
-
so make it a 420-423 bustrip
-
or just make things much more expensive

well i guess not \'fucked\', cause you\'d probably be staying the 2nd night anyways.. my point is that the new show is on 4/22, not 4/23 as chris said..
-
dave allways out to bust my balls!
-
it wasn\'t that hard...you were wrong.
;)

i think its too bad the bus trip isnt happening. casue i aint driving bymyself to VT for the weekend. and no one will come with me from jersey.
-
that does suck.
-
something may happen in a month
-
is there any way to rent a bus for 2 one-way trips? does the driver really need to stay over for the 2 days?
these are questions that we should work on!! and by \'we\' i mean someone who lives in CT or VT and knows how to find this out. :)
-
if anyone needs a ride from ct, i\'m definitely driving and i got 2-3 open spots in my ghetto sled
-
Bus trip-- dunzo.consermified to the 30th power. Trying to get this group to pre-plan and solidify on anything is like trying to boil water at the north pole. PLUS...it is WAY expensive.
