many words\' meanings have been connotated differently according to context, according to time, setting and other specifics of the situations..

uh oh!
I see where the guy\'s coming from. That was my first thought when I heard the usage of doozie in reference to poor attendance.
But he should really not make anything of it. I bet when he hears that a jam was "sick" he doesn\'t think the drummer was nauseous.

And I\'m sure its clear to everyone here that the band has never really purchased anyones eyes nose mouth cheeks chins or foreheads for a monetary sum either. ;)

-or-
2. those delicious double-decker frosting filled chocolate chip cookies called \'Double-Doozies\'
please folks, enlighten me with the etymology of "doozie" here in Breakfast land......
