Title: Super Bowl XLIV Squares Pool!
Post by: Wolfman on January 25, 2010, 02:45:47 pm
Hey everyone!

I am holding a Super Bowl squares pool with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the CCFA! Take advantage of this rare opportunity to participate in a tax-deductible squares pool! Open to all so invite anyone.

Here\'s how it works:

-Squares are $5 each or 5 for $20.
-Donate at http://www.active.com/donate/boston10newengland/SethWolfman It\'s a tax-deductible donation!
-I have created a Google spreadsheet for the squares. After donating, you can then select your squares by typing your name into the squares you want on the spreadsheet at http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AsYi-kTi4OuwdDZCNms3elN1YkU1eS1aemFuNHpxYUE&hl=en#
Or if you\'re not down with the google docs, then just send me a message and I\'ll place your name on the spreadsheet.
-You can also Paypal terrapinwolf@hotmail.com or mail a check
-Numbers will be drawn at noon on Super Bowl Sunday.
-Payouts are 10% for end of first quarter, 10% for end of second quarter, 10% for end of third quarter, 20% for final score, and 50% goes to support the CCFA.
-Thanks and good luck!!!

Maybe someone can help me understand this pool:

The rules...

Payout everyime the score changes

1-5 = $160
6-10 = $80
11-15 = $50
16-20 = $40
21-25 = $30
26-30 = $25
31-40 = $20

0-0 box automatically wins your $10.00 back.

- Someone wins every time the score changes for the length of the game (overtime included).
- Final score gets the remainder of the pot.
- Score changes do not count if they are reversed due to a penalty or challenges.

I get the main gist, but this seems like there is 40 boxes???

That middle section with the dollar amounts makes no sense to me.

Thanks Drew!

Debloc, the rules of the pool you posted are too vague for anyone to say for sure what they mean.  Consult the commish, or join my pool where the rules are clear!
