So, now that Beatles A-Z is done...

How about some Phish A-Z? :D
I know Dave Peck is itching for a Demand > Destiny Unbound  > Dinner and a Movie.
Yes, it\'s a ridiculous thought maybe, but a fun thought to entertain none the less.
Only thing is I don\'t know how covers would be dealt with since there are soo many of them, I guess they would maybe only play the select few that are played most often (frankenstein, etc). <3

I\'m sure Pitch would love them to do Culture Club A-Z....ha!  ;)
but on a better note, they should do Zappa A-Z

echidna\'s arf > excentrifugal forz > father o\'blivion

Or, Tim and Adrian could find a bassist and keyboardist, learn all of the Breakfast songs, and play a bunch of shows across the country. That\'s something I\'m very excited for.

By the way, and I fully accept my part of the responsibility for not doing this either, but where was all of the Breakfast promo this past month? Fliers, posters, word-of-mouth, whatever. There were a lot of people at Daniel St. over the last five Sundays who probably didn\'t even know who The Breakfast was... and most of them probably still don\'t.

This post is not meant to take any from the amazing accomplishment of learning and performing 224 Beatles songs, of course.
Go see your Breakfast, there are starving Leiths in California

I was talking to Chris K last night, and agree that a Led Zeppelin A to Z would be a great contender for a side project next year! :awwyeah:

But, for right now, like Drew said, I think it\'s best for the Breakfast to focus on THE BREAKFAST.  Side projects are fun and great, but the band really should promo & work on their own stuff instead of working on other people\'s tunes.

i cannot believe this thread was just made, cuase i was going to make a thread about a phish A to Z tonight (i had already begun putting the setlists together, the first one would end with Divided Sky encore, and the last one would end with YEM encore)

only original songs would be my vote (Ya Mar, kicked off lot)

Not sure about the Phish or LZ A-Z.  My choices would be:

- The Who
- Grateful Dead
- Frank Zappa
The best music is essentially there to provide you something to face the world with - Bruce Springsteen

i agree about the Phish A-Z, just because they\'ve already done an entire show devoted to Phish.  got to keep it fresh.  Thank you Yoda for agreeing with the Zappa idea, my bubble is now being re-inflated :)  the guys could probably get away with a Talking Heads A-Z, but I doubt the turnout would be very good for TH.

Sand > Sanity?!

We actually had a few great laughs last night discussing this exact topic.  We worked off the top of our heads to come up with the funniest/worst alphabetical Phish song combos.  I came up with Faht > Farmhouse > Fikus, Pec countered with Jennifer Dances > Julius > Kung, then we both tag-teamed on Dave\'s Energy Guide > Dear Mrs. Reagan > Demand > Destiny Unbound and on and on it went.  Funny stuff.  Then Pec looked up the list of Phish songs so we could see some real combos and boy were there some doozies.

I asked a bunch of people last night if they could choose the next band to be covered A-Z what would they pick.  (Without regard to the feasability or difficulty of the catalog.)  Phish is the clear winner for me personally.  Pec went with Madonna, an interesting choice I would not have thought of.  Zeppelin, Zappa, and the Dead all got a few mentions.  Good topic.

You know what else would be interesting?  The Breakfast covering themselves A-Z.  They\'d have to pull everything off the shelf and segue every tune and make it all work.  Of course, it would be a complete waste of time making Chris and Matt learn old shelved tunes just for one performance, but it would be fun to listen to.  The Za encore at the last show would be epic.

I\'d love to hear the Doors A-Z.  Think about it.
