I wouldn\'t worry about the list order. Knowing the guys who put it together I highly doubt there is any rhyme or reason for it other than the first few

how about they are a new band / small draw / just played their first festival ?

i thought kung-fu nabbed the late night cabin slot ...

does Breakfast have a time slot yet?

the reason the mclovins are near the top is that THEY ARE 16 AND PLAYING FESTIVALS. show the kids some love. all i was doing at age 16 was making bad descisions

Does anyone know what stage the breakfast will be on ?

At 8PM i can only see 2 possibilities.

1) they are opening for the main act on the main stage or..

2) they are playing the river stage in the woods where Moonboot played last time

don\'t know, mike. hopefully the former? or is the woods a cool spot, too?

^^
It\'s a cool spot but honestly would be a bit of a slap in the face. It\'s a tiny stage that most people find accidentally wandering around spun through the woods.

I can\'t imagine they\'re not on the main stage for this.

The 8PM time slot would seem to suggest they play just prior to the main act. So they could be on the main stage or possibly the river stage

the river stage is nice because if they are there at 8PM they could play for a while as it doesn\'t bleed to the main stage. I thought it was a pretty cool setup in the woods etc. Moonboot lover killed it on that stage last year and they played for a good amount of time.

Of the 3 stages I would say this

#1 main stage #2 River stage #3 vernville

Each location has its ups and downs.

sick, cannot wait! i\'m psyched i\'ll be able to get a huge breakfast on friday.

we\'ve played vernville twice, and the vernville folks are some of the kindest i\'ve ever met.

there will usually be some lasers and other lights.

kung fu in the late night cabin on saturday is scary. that is going to be raging.

I\'ve been thinking...

Would it be too much to ask the boys to do a DIO tribute tune ?

Holy Diver or Heaven & Hell something like that for Strangecreek

We lost the man last Sunday. Surprised I didn\'t see any mention on this site about it. I know we have some metal heads here.

I know the guys can pull it off musically. The vocals would be tough as Dio could sing his ass off.

If you are not going up until Saturday, at the gate ask for the "Max Creek evening special" and they will sell you a ticket for 40 bucks good for Saturday afternoon/evening through Sunday Morning. They ask that you respect the deal and not try to take advantage on Sunday ( there I said it, that is my PSA for the day, take that with as many grains of salt {or tabs of "L" if that is your bag :-) ..as you will).

If you are around Saturday afternoon we (Shakedown) is on Verneville at 5:00 pm.

Have a great weekend! Psyched to see Bfast and KungFu just like the rest of ya....!

Peace,
Jeff

great times rockin with you gabo!  are you headed back or are you done?

i wish i had made it in time for the entire quebus jam.... caught the end... but this show really left little for want.

encore was peace frog > shotgun butterfly

the energy of the crowd was high and it was great to see them feed off of it.  it is impossible to pick specific highlights...  if forced to choose, 2001 and sleeping beauty and rufus.  but that does not take away from anything else!

suffice it to say, i can\'t wait for these tapes!

my zoom has been very reliable.  A drunk dude fell on and poured an entire drink on the recorder and it damaged one of the channels. he also grabbed my mic stand and hit Chris fitz in the face with it as he was falling to the floor. anyway,  It has a 1 year warranty. I sent mine out and had it repaired in 5 weeks.  besides this incident I have never lost a show.

I have the Breakfast set tracked out. I have to give it another listen tho on my real playback system.

Not sure if it is my playback or on my recording but i hear what sounds like feedback from an amp. I don\'t recall it from the show (not sure i would have anyway). There is def 2 sources for the set tho. I had another taper clamped to my stand so if mine is fubar his should be ok (provided it wasn\'t coming from the stage). It isn\'t horrible but a little distracting in some quieter spots.

"Guitarness" is always a fun time. When Peev is on the East coast, they usually throw together a gig at a small place in CT with Dave (there was a show last week at the Hungry Tiger). They\'ve been doing it for many years now, usually with John Peckman on drums. I think Pevar\'s website is the only place to find one listed. I\'ve also seen these shows on etree, from time to time, if anyone is interested.

I thought you were asking about Dangle and Murawski.

I do all the foh with Guitarness.  It is usually Peev, Murawski, Peckman, Livolsi, and sometimes Matt Ziner.  It is always epic.  I post on here usually when they are playing.  I rarely get any feedback so I have been slacking on mentioning it.  I\'ll try to make a point of starting a roll call next time if people are interested.

Pevar played on Help on the Way and Tricky Ways
Scotty jammed on like a 20 minute Red Barron and the trades between him and Timmy are nothing short of epic. I hope Krispy got that mch. I MEAN epic!
I cant even remember what else.. Chkabarty Overdrive I think..

Both the Breakfast and Kung Fu were amazing sets. I truly hope this gets up somewhere to where it can be streamed or it will be a great loss. I was lucky enough to be standing right in front of Tim through the whole Kung Fu show and the trades between him and Pevar were nothing short of astounding. Stoops seemed pissed though they were having a lot of technical difficulties.

I dunno what to say about all that yet. Where\'s the setlist?

I\'ll probably never go to Strange Creek for more than a day / night at most ever again. Had $400 stolen off the bat. Then my wristband fell off. And my ex-girlfriend hitchhiked up to be with me and hers was bunk. So we go to sit in wristband jail nicely spun tryin to explain how we\'re not as bad as the sketchballs to either side.

Spent 240 on new tickets for the last day. Lucky I got the 1st legit ones on discount (dunno why she didnt use that) for 70 so that\'s a $330 loss on tix. And the fuckin one they gave me stayed on for like a half day "that last one was your last one" etc dude bust out the duct tape. By this point they could see I had less than 6 bucks to get and couldn\'t have cared.

The vibes get worse and worse every year and the cool kids have to build serious camps to keep the bullshit away.

And I dont mean *** bullshit. I probably ate 30 hits. Either the tolerance is dumb or the tabs are weak. I suspect both. I mean people for whom festivals have become two things: A business, and the path of least resistance

oh and thank you friends for helping along the way... I must have been looking like I needed some cheering up. Might take a while but every little bit helps.

I was being lazy and didn\'t fill out the setlist in the text file. It should match what was posted earlier. If anyone wants to upload it to the LMA feel free. I also have the 24Bit if anyone would like that as well. Hope you enjoy

I kinda feel the same. Last year was the last of what used to make me love creek. All the bs that went down was certainly shitty and im tired of watching a bunch of scummy kids pushing low quality shit and acting like bosses because they have a fitted with some cheap wings on it. The music was great this year but the scenes rapidly deteriorating.

I\'m sorry that you had a heep of issues. I am not the most connected dude there and I know we have only ever met once or twice but if you ever have an issue there again have someone find me. I might be able to help out. I know hindsight is 20/20

This year at camp was certainly different. The biggest issue IMHO was the town isn\'t allowing folks to camp on the far side where they used to allow folks. So that pushed everyone to where "quieter" camping is usually (behind the RV area to the left when coming in). We got there around 12:30 - 1PM on Friday afternoon and it was already packed. We ending up in a good spot sort of but we had to create the space. All the downed trees didn\'t help with the space issues either.

As for doing the entire weekend. When we started we did all 3 days. then we have slowly cut it back to fri,sat leave early sunday morning. I need to have a shower after a couple of days.

I guess if anyone wants to do it we could split an RV. That way all your shit is safer and you have deluxe accommodations.
