sux tho NH def needs all ages shows or at least 18+ for the fanbase demographics up there.

I just called the Stoned church! sounds like they will be allowing 18+ and Xing hands. The guy told me the only days that are 100% 21+ are tuesdays, so i would think 18+ is acceptable. Waiting for an email for confirmation.

new ownership... pretty different now in my opinion. can\'t believe the breakfast is playing there, no one really plays there anymore.

"NOTE: All attendees under the age of 21 (ages 18-20) will be subject to an additional $5 charge at the door."

wow that is lame.

If it\'s normally 21+, the 18-20 should just be happy that they\'re getting in at all...  It\'s standard for all their shows, not just TB...

I\'m not saying that it\'s right... What I am saying is that on their site if you try and buy tickets to any of the shows, it says that there will be a $5 surcharge at the door for anyone under the age of 21...  They may not charge the fee when some local joe schmo plays, but when they get someone in that\'s going to draw, they want to make an extra couple bucks...

Hey guys,

Luke from Mondo Gecko here... so stoked for the show! We are opening again, love to see you guys out early for the Gecko throw down!

Also, if you didn\'t know, The Breakfast isn\'t playing in portland on Saturday, but Mondo Gecko is! So if you aren\'t headin\' to CT come up north and party down with us.

To clear some stuff up, Stone Church is 18+, and it\'s $10 for everyone (althought not sure about that stuff about the website charging an extra fee).

All this talk about the show being sold out is getting me super excited. Even if capacity is only 100, there\'s obviously more people than that trying to go. Great way to start off 2010 if you ask me. Just be happy for the boys!...i personally can\'t wait for the day when everyone who can usually just walk into a breakfast show realizes how much they\'ve been taking a great thing for granted. And believe you me, that day will come. (probably sooner than you think).

The Stone church is 100% SOLD OUT! i had a friend show up early to grab tix and he was denied! BIG BAG OF BS if you ask me. There are going to be dozens of sooory chips who are driving over an hour. I personally am not amused. Jillian\'s or Milly\'s in manchester would have been a better choice. But who knew. SOOOOORRRY  CHIP!

You fucking kidding?
Fuck You bitching about a SOLD OUT IN ADVANCE BREAKFAST show!

Are fucking ser?
They don\'t get many sold out venues much less in advance and when they do you bitch?
Fuck off.

This is EXACTLY what this band needs a sold out show with people getting denied.
I hope people get shut out of Sully\'s also.

It breeds interest like nothing else you fucking n00b!

Yeah the bold type is totally a positive statement regarding the ADVANCE sell out of a Breakfast show.

d00d they sold it out in advance and then some it seems. Yeah it\'s a small place but they don\'t really sell it out everytime there anyway right? So there is reason to be stoked other than a n00b giving up tix to a show an hour away.

Did they lower the capacity since the new management took over?  I was there about 5 years ago and don\'t recall it being that small.

last night is still really hazy for me but I can give u a list of songs played but probably not in the right order.  there was a jam>mayfly, killer cut me some slack, existential funk, sleeping beauty, shotgun butterfly, rufus, see the light, over exposure, tunage for encore with drum solo.  Im probably missing a song or two....but let me just say that I dont think I\'ve seen them play this well ever!  to say that they were on fire is a complete understatement.  i\'m pretty sure everyone there realized it was something special and even the band too.  every single jam was perfect and seemed to last forever and nobody wanted the show to end.  with a 25 min tunage encore, they actually played until 1:30 which was pretty nice.  Also I saw people being turned away at the door, but there was definitiely plenty of room for more people.

. Jillian\'s or Milly\'s in manchester would have been a better choice. But who knew.

Well, they\'ve sold out Stone Church several times before, so a lot of us knew it would sell out.  The Stone Church is the best venue they play.  The other venues you suggest are a poor fit for the band.  By your logic you might also say, "Oh man, I had no idea Phish would sell out Great Woods...they should play 5 miles down the road at Gillette Stadium, it holds 3 times more people."  Umm...no.  But you do have a legit reason to beef that you might not know about...read on for that....

Anyhow, here\'s what I can tell everyone about the show.  The show was not taped and it didn\'t occur to me until mid 2nd set that I probably should have appointed myself on setlist duty, so that\'s kind of up in the air too.  The show and the crowd both raged.  Hard.  By second set the whole place was one big undergraduate wastecase.  Very much an upstate New York vibe as opposed to a CT/Boston vibe.  They definitely shredded OE in second set and encored with Tunage, nice 15-minute encore.  Nothing else really stood out for me... not that it didn\'t rock cause it totally did, but there were no sandwiches or bustouts or totally new/different jams, or anything else that would have made tapes indispensable.

I definitely have to comment on the crowd size.  By now we all know the show was sold out.  There were no tickets online as of 48 hours before the show and there were no tickets at the door.  However, the room was 25% full.  As in, 75% empty.  The crowd raging up front was 12 wide by 6 deep.  Beyond that, there was virtually nobody... maybe 10 people sitting at the bar and a couple of others traveling to/from the bathroom.  You could have easily fit that crowd of ragers into the room another 3 times over.  This very venue has been far more packed for The Breakfast in the past, and I\'m sure it would have been last night had the venue not stopped selling tickets.  The guilty party here is either the venue management or the local fire-code people.  (Definitely NOT the band, so don\'t even go there.)  I can\'t imagine why any venue would choose to sell less tickets than it is allowed to, so I\'m sure the Church sold every ticket they could.  Can\'t blame them for not wanting to break the rules.  It\'s probably the fire-code crew.  I\'m all for safety at shows, but this was just silly.  There are lecture-hall classes down the road at UNH that have way higher density than this show did.  Imagine if 25% full was really the universal safety standard for capacity... you\'d have Bob Kraft building an 80,000 seat stadium just so 20,000 people could go to a game, and every school would have to build a lecture hall for each 25-person class.

Stone Church is still awesome.  If anyone wants to beef about getting blindsided this time, fine.  (Although this is not the first Stone Church sellout so you should have been getting tix in advance.)  But next time at Stone Church, no beef allowed no matter how few tickets they sell.  You\'re a serious Breakfast fan, you\'re on the message board, you\'re in the know...get your tickets in advance!

^better room?? ha, Church is the shit, they had to lower their capacity with the new owners so thats why the crowd was smaller.....too bad but nothing can be done about it as far as I know....

and Davis got the whole show, so the complete thing will be available in a few days hopefully...I\'ll post it up here when I get it!

Maybe a better room should be found where at least 125 could get in.

def more than 35. i\'d say more like 80. great fuckin show. it seemed louder than i remember.  ser sleeping beaut in the first set that i don\'t think has been mentioned yet. a two night run at the church would be epic. also UNH and Keene solar fests are coming up again we should try and get the band involved if possible. NH loves their BFAST

wow, cant believe i forgot that...

kind of a weird room, with a big pillar right in the middle in front of the stage, if i remember correctly.  kind of a sullys vibe.  could be fun shows there if the house was packed
