While some may or may not like their instrumental prowess, it\'s damn tough to argue that they don\'t write the best lyrics out there...  just my opinion, of course... lol!

Dude!! That\'s the thing about Panic. I miss Mikey but it has always been about John\'s lyrics 4 me. I am the ONLY WSP fan among my friends and it blows me away how underappreciated they are out here. As for their playing, OMFG they are fcukin\' hard to beat as far as I\'m concerned and now w/ George on board for the long haul Man!(of course they decide to pull a hiatus). They may not be as tight as say PB but man their segues are some of the most inventive on the scene. Then again I might be crazy huh? :)

I was a bit critical of the way the band sounded with George at first, but I saw a show on 10/18 in Macon, that was one of the best I\'ve ever seen (close to 100 since 1991)... took away any doubts I had that they would never be as good again... dare I say they might have even sounded... better... Houser will never be replaced, but a flashier lead guitar really adds tons to the sound.  Leith, shoot me your address & I\'ll send you a cd of the show....

I did not want to say it but yeah I do think they may sound better w/ George. Even my befuddled friends like the way George is more noticable than Mikey. That is the complaint of many of them that Mikey did not go BANG!! They did not understand the threads he wove to keep Panic jams together. I have only seen 20 or so shows by WSP (3 w/ George) but I can not wait for their hiatus to end. They will have been able to deal w/ the loss of Mikey out of the public eye and that is good.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!  I lived up there for 3.5 years, and had to deal with the Wah comparing JB to Dave Matthews!  One good thing this that I got to see a ton of intimate shows while I was there... I mean Toad\'s Place??... there would be a riot if they tried to play a place that small south of the Mason-Dixon.......

To me it\'s not all about how tight a band is, or that they can play 5 million complex notes a show... sometimes loosey-goosey is what does it for me.

It\'s going to suck missing PB @ home for NYE this year, but I have to get my WP while I can....

Loosey- goosey Yeah!!! That\'s why I love the Dead and Panic!!That is what I\'m talkin\' about when talkin\' about Panic jams. No need for sped up solo after solo just talk to each other in that slow southern drawl of music.

whine all u want but jus\' remember WSP is one of those bands that without them pushing ahead, bands like PB would not even get a chance to show the goods.  GD and Phish get all the credit for constant touring but WSP been doin it for years.

Wah - Under the Table and Dreaming? Shouldn\'t you be listening to The Ghost?
