* unfinished
Thanks to postom/igzy/fitz for the setlist!
-
I believe Taboo Or Not Taboot was the last song. The last message I got read Taboot>gay ass boat curfew.

Kinda glad I didn\'t go. Nobody told me was going to be a boat for gay ass.
-
This is the setlist I received from Ellis or Gencs or Derick or someone.
May Fly Disarray > Sleeping Beauty > Drums > jam > Tunage > Drunk Monk Bar > Question Mark and The Mind > Tunage > Rufus
There are alot of > in the setlist so I don\'t know where the breaks are or how accurate it is.
-
the setlist was:
May Fly Disarray* > Sleeping Beauty, Drums > jam > Tunage > Drunk Monk Bar, Question > Tunage > Rufus > Taboo Or Not Taboot
*unfinished
ahoy was supposed to close the set, but that never happened because of curfew, so mayfly went unfinished. we were supposed to get rufus>taboo>rufus, surreal radio>ahoy, and thats what the gay ass shit was all about. because mayfly was played on the boat cruise and the ahoy section never got played.
-
definitely no > before rufus, unless you count it as
tunage > lots of yelling from the crowd to play random stupid shit that eventually morphed into a rufus chant while ron screwed in the light bulb to see then tried to unscrew it to bring back the ambiance and he could not nor could gencs then chadwick stepped in which ignited roars from the crowd > rufus
or something like that
and there was def a break between beauty and tunage
and i\'m actually fairly sober, due to the combination of spending half the day trying not to vomit thanks to some NH chick who we believe was the cause of the 1am shots last night, the not finding a bar pre show, forgetting my flask at home this morning, and the last call miscalculation cause the boat took off at 8:30 instead of 8 and still landed at 11 :( :( :( and not 11:30
but all good, had a great time, sooooo good to see the breakfast again, it\'s been too long. and i get to do it again in a week. yay
-
Great time on the boat! Why is it that even when the boat leaves a half a frickin\' hour late, because they don\'t have their shit together, the show still gets cut at 10:55. Oh, and big whoopy, the band played one minute over. I thought the guy in charge was gonna go Columbine on us. Def. not as scenic as the NY cruise. Basically circled around the same 1/2 mile of the river 1002 times.
And, for the love of God, before I exit this existence...can I please go to Boston at least once without having to do a half dozen u-turns. And yes...it was even with gps...again.
-
Looks like that dude on the myspace page got his Question Mark and the Mind! Too bad about the curfew stuff....... that always sucks. Maybe the "Ahoy" section will open the cruise in NYC! BTW, Surreal > MFD end is a great idea!
-
Play the Ahoy! section to finish the NYC boat cruise.
-
Looks like that dude on the myspace page got his Question Mark and the Mind!
it was not question mark and the mind, it was question by the moody blues
-
Was a beautiful night! Was an ass kickin set by The Breakfast!:yay:
(Didnt hear much of the first band I was hiding out and sight seeing.)

OH MY GOD!! A whole minute over?Big deal.:rolleyes:The boat is what went over time not the band!
and I feel badly,I didnt get a chance to say goobye to everyone esp.who I havent seen in a while.but sooner than later Im sure there will be hellos.
-
I think they hired the security force from the Middle East for the cruise. Basically yelled and pushed us off the boat and up the ramp. And they were all concerned about the noise of the band in close proximity to the hotel.
-
Yeah thats sounds about right.GEEEEZE they were ready to throw us off before the boat even stopped, they didnt care if we all just stepped off into the water.
There was a louder boat closer to the hotel too.(They should move the hotel.)

Nope I didn\'t get my Question Mark and the Mind . OH well the Rufus made up for it!
The boat curfew sucked so much for there whole departing at 8 sharp.
Insane show overall!!!!
derickw thanks for the 1000th show DVD
-
ha. whoever texted me the setlist was way off with Question Mark and The Mind.
-
Yeaaaa such a fucking fun night! The 1 set from the Breakfast kicked ass. And as mentioned, the Rufus tore new assholes all over the place. I thought the band only stopped once, and that was before Rufus. No?
-
had a fabulous time on the boat! tunage, question, rufus were my highlights, and it was good to hear taboo after not hearing if for a while. the boat was small but it was nice and intimate enough that i had a wonderful time dancing w/ my favorite dancing freaks! NBFB were pretty good too! so great to see everyone and the band. i had a blast sailing the night away with all of you! until next week!
-
Good show, too bad it was short. I thought Johnny Sack might be a security guy too, the way those dudes looked. Now I\'m jonesin\' for Block Island...
There\'s confusion about ?? because there were setlists lying about like kids at a TKA latenite bash, and the 2 I saw both looked like they said Question Mark. Perhaps there\'s a dude named Mark somewhere that has answers? We may never know.
In any event, no QM&TM was played last night. Nice Rufus though. I think I get why people like it...why, it might be as good as Buquebus someday! :duck:
-
glad you all had fun. see you all on the island.
-
highlights = mayfly, rufus, question
great to be back to a show
block island = gonna be epic
-peaches incognito

I\'ll believe you when I see you on BI. I know how you taints like to say one thing and do the opposite.
-
Don\'t worry people, the guys that run the cruise in NYC are cool. They are into the music as well. Come on down, and make up for the rough treatment in Boston...Whineberg.
-
Oh, don\'t you worry. I\'ll be rockin\' the boat in NYC for sure!!
Oh...side note...glad to finally meet you Boomin\' Benny!!!
-
highlight of the night for me was rufus>taboo or not taboot...question was up there for me too. all in all i had a blast! seeing breakfast on a boat is definitely a must do. catch you all on the island.
-
I had a great time last night! It was good to see the BFam creating chaos & mutiny on the ship. My highlight of the night was def the digger... she fell (not once, but TWICE)... epic times, indeed. Thanks for the company Pawl & Fitz -- the gum episodes were insanely funny! ;)

Rocks Off is a good name for it I think of the Rolling Stones song!
Really? It makes me think of semen. Hmph.
and i\'m actually fairly sober, due to the combination of spending half the day trying not to vomit thanks to some NH chick who we believe was the cause of the 1am shots last night,
Umm, yeah. Sorry about that. Does it make you feel better to know that my work day was entirely miserable?
And I am pretty sure YOU bought the last shots....

Rolling Stones- almost every song they have makes me think of something having to do with sex. I actually only had 1 beer,I had a six pack in the car that was the same price as 1 can on the boat.thats good cus then I probably couldnt have kept my promise to myself not to fall.:D
-

Good job on not being digger #2. Digger #1 was highlarious though!!
-
It was good meeting you as well Todd. Same to all the other peeps I met last night. Great show!
-
My highlight of the night was def the digger... she fell (not once, but TWICE)... epic times, indeed.
Hahaha was this the blonde girl in the middle that totally ate shit? I got a good laugh out of that. She was tripping balls. Hilarious.
-
fun fun fun
Definitely brought the heat

Yes. But the best was when we were upstairs. She was sitting down and then just fell over sideways!!
-
That\'s pure gold...
-
Yeah...her boyfriend, while laughing, says something along the lines of "The boats a little tippy". We all look at each other and laugh. Priceless!!!

hehehe. yeah, that doesn\'t really make me feel better. :) but thanks for trying. we chalked it up to it being the first day of summer and all, and we all had to get it out of our system. or something like that.

-
It was alright, nothing special, not saying it was bad, cuz I had a great time, but it didn\'t really do it for me. The frenzied playing towards the end of Mayfly was pretty hot, coulda used a longer intro to Sleeping Beauty though, didn\'t matter cuz it was still great, when the hell was there a drum solo before Tunage? The best part other than the dumb sloppy bitch falling right in front of me, god I wanted to accidnetally step on her face, was the Question>Tunage>Rufus>Taboot, shit it was good. I was looking forward to Surreal, only cuz of my friendly scolding of, excuse me for not knowing her name, even though I know her face, "the little short chick," who by the way Chad lifted off the ground with what could only be described as the most powerful ass-grab I\'ve ever seen, was struggling to read Adrian\'s set list, I knew it was coming or at least if the opening "band" hadn\'t gone 15 mins. over their playing time, it would have. Overall good time, despite my opening statement of it just being alright. Wish I could go to Block Island.....bitches.
-
when the hell was there a drum solo before Tunage?
It was there. I was upstairs for it, but could here it loud and clear. Went from drums to drums/ bass jam, full band jam and then into Tunage.
-
And, for the love of God, before I exit this existence...can I please go to Boston at least once without having to do a half dozen u-turns. And yes...it was even with gps...again.
Boston blows in so many ways. It\'s our countries red headed step child.
-
Are you kidding? There are so many cities that are so much worse.
You guys just need to learn to navigate using The Prude.
-
Soooooo...because a city is hard to get around because it\'s old as fuck, that means it blows? Yeaaaah, they should totally have done something full of personality like number the streets and avenues. Also, like the aforementioned greatest city ever that shall remain nameless, the Bostonians should adopt a more hands off approach to things such as witnessing a mugging or robbery and being like, "well it\'s none of my business," or maybe start pushing people onto the tracks of T. Am I serious or not, you decide.
-
I don\'t know if you\'re serious or not, all I know is you can belt out an elton john song with the best of them, and that\'s good enough for me. rotfl
-
the T might be the biggest joke in Boston. That thing runs like it\'s being pulled by horses. Did they ever hear of the efficient straight line? That thing takes more turns than my one legged cousin!!
-
I like a lot of parts of Boston, I just don\'t like driving there. And...the couple of parts I\'ve been to lately did nothing for me. I get the same vibe from NYC as well. NYC is easier driving, but less of a "good vibe"...if you can understand my babble...
-
i think the T kicks ass. no it\'s not faster than driving, but neither are the trains in NY. i actually think it\'s a great system. other than the fact that it ends early.
-
i think the T kicks ass.
Me too, especially the green line! I love Boston, but I\'d never be able to drive there, I\'d lose my mind. :D
-
i think the T kicks ass. no it\'s not faster than driving, but neither are the trains in NY. i actually think it\'s a great system. other than the fact that it ends early.
ughhh...I live in Boston. The T officially sucks ass. Fucking garbage. I love how half the time the new charlie system doesn\'t work. Huge lines of people waiting for one charlie machine because the other 5 are broken. So ridiculous. The staff is a fucking joke.
-
i think the T kicks ass. no it\'s not faster than driving, but neither are the trains in NY. i actually think it\'s a great system. other than the fact that it ends early.
Actually the trains in NY are about as fast as driving would be.
Of course you have to come and go according to their schedule so that comes in to play. But if I left my place on the train at the same time you left in a car driving I would be willing to bet I will be there before you.
-
For an efficient transit system, check out BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). The trains move up to 80 MPH, you can bring bikes aboard, the pricing and ticket collections make sense, tv monitors in every station tell you when the next train is arriving, the stations are spotless and the intercom system notifies riders anytime there is any delay in service, no matter how brief (and the estimated setback in travel time). Oh yeah, on days when the air quality is poor in the Bay Area, they declare a "Spare the air day" and often provide free rides as an incentive to get people out of their cars.
The T has a very strange (actually inefficient comes to mind) pricing system. I believe I paid 1 token ($1.25) to take the green line from downtown all the way out to route 128 in Newton.

I: May Fly Disarray* > Sleeping Beauty, Drum Solo > jam > Tunage > Drunk Monk Bar, Question > Tunage > Rufus > Taboo Or Not Taboot
* unfinished
Thanks to postom/igzy/fitz for the setlist!
Despite of the delay in leaving and the opening band running long, the show was pretty solid. My highlight was the jamming out of May Fly. By far inspired and next level Breakfast jamming. Tight and with a point. The point, to fucking own your face, throw it on the ground and dance all over it. It was good to hear Sleeping Beauty. Tunage had a great intro. Drunk Monk was solid. Question was FIRE. I forgot that it is one of Peaches favorite tunes, so it was great to watch that kid rage the shit outta it. He may have smashed a few ceiling tiles with his head and/or fists......The Rufus was top shelf as well.......
Boston as a city has its asthetic appeal, however most of the people there are fucking assholes. Please note that I say "most". I am talking about the ones who have no patience for out of towners, though they can drive through our state like fucking morons thinking they own the road, but when we come to their town and are lost because the grid is so fucked (big dig = big dooze), they turn a deaf ear to inquiries for directions. Not to mention the fucking rules that this city imposes on its inhabitants....I wouldnt be suprised if they still burn people at the stake for "acts against god".........
Anywho, I would say the Boating With The Breakfast kick off show was a great success in many ways......
Are you ready for Block Island?
Can you taste the fear?
For the devil is drawing near........
PS. As for public rail transportation in any city, the BART has it over any system, anywhere.....
-

bunch of "high butts"

The Big Dig = Bostonians getting up the rare ;)

I thought you were going to bust some of them yourself. I saw you punch a couple of them and was waiting for one to break into pieces.

Ha....I definitely didnt know what i was doing at points in the night
Whos ass was Chadwick grabbing?
The only good thing about the boat out of boston is that the ride is 100% smoother than the nyc boat.......there was definitely no tossing or bobbing from side to side on the river charles.......
-

Whos ass was Chadwick grabbing?
Probably some dude\'s. I remember a distinct homosexual twinkle in his eyes in Syracuse.

It could be a bisexual twinkle........i know that chad does dig the ladies...but he has the tendency to freak them out even more than i do.......however, there is definitely something that says "I like to take it in the face" about our good ole friend Cwick.

i can beat the metro north trains which is why i drive into the city most times. and they end early as well. and also the trains into brooklyn.
except during rush hour.
and can someone please remove the > before rufus? definitely was no >

there was a break, and the light bulb changing

Boston blows in so many ways.
True, but you can make this case for anywhere you want. I could give you so many ways The Bahamas blow too if you really wanted me to.
It\'s our countries red headed step child.
No. Besides the fact that anyone can reel off 50 American cities inferior to Boston, it is not a red-headed step child. It does not get picked on unfairly. A red-headed step child is something that gets an unfair rep for not being as good as it really is i.e. The Breakfast. Boston is the complete opposite. It gets a rep for being much better than it is. It\'s more like a bratty little sister who gets away with everything because she\'s cute, but really she\'s a pain in the ass.
Anyhow, the show was decent and I lot of fun hanging out with everyone. I thought there was going to be a re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party when the boat docked with the band having not played the "Ahoy" section of Mayfly. Now, if they had never played Mayfly at all that would be one thing, but to open with it and play it all the way up to Ahoy...and then NOT go back to it...on a BOAT?!?! Here\'s a transcript of my post-game interview with Tim:
Wolf: Tim, Mayfly without Ahoy on a boat, what was going through your head out there?
Tim: (5 seconds of silence) I have no idea. That was dumb. We fucked up. I\'m sorry.
Wolf: I thought it was cool to make people wait a little longer than the opener for Ahoy, but now people are going to riot. What are you going to do?
Tim: On the Rocks Off cruise in NYC we will open and close each set with Ahoy.
Wolf: And encore Ahoy?
Tim: Absolutely.
So there you have it folks. Ahoy mania is sailing towards NYC on 7/5. Be there!
-

For the sake of creative entertainment, I would love to hear the many ways that the Bahamas blows from you Wolfman

ahh yes...the ass-grabbing...my name would be stef :) it definitely was the most powerful and it funkin hurt...but oh well, at least the booze eased the pain. and it\'s a little difficult to read a set-list upside down while all the letters are really blurry from the aforementioned booze ;) but, i couldn\'t help myself, i had to peak. definitely is a shame that the opener went over so damned long...i wanted that ahoy, and i won\'t be making it to the NYC affair. meh.
-
so has anybody tried to watch those dvd\'s i handed out, i just wanted to make sure they work correctly......
First Off Thanks for the DVD\'s
I couldn\'t get the Acoustic Cafe DVD to play. Both the 1000th show ones worked for me!
Also there was no > before Rufus
There was alot of yelling though
-
i thought this was just adorable. lemme know if you guys want it.
